Nevermore by Kelly Creagh *****

Can't wait to read the next one~!! I hope it's soon~!!,
September 15, 2010
I have to say I was in absolute awe when I finished reading this book. When I went to Borders today after work I actually recommended it to the guy working there! I think it is one of the best books that I have read this year. I really can't wait for the next one now, I have to know what happens. It is totally an original idea, no vampires, werewolves, fairies etc. It's all about a dream world based on Edgar Allan Poe that Varen, the "goth" love interest, gets sucked into. I love the characters. Isobel isn't one of those nasty stuck up cheerleaders like you read about so often & Varen is so dark & mysterious you can't help but fall a little bit in-love with him yourself! And for a debut you would never know this author is on her 1st book! Trust me, I can't say it enough, this book is definitely a keeper and one worth reading again! In my top 5 if not #1 for the year~!

  Cute~ May 29, 2010
Cute book once you get past the, for the lack of a better word, "UKisms". Yes I made that up, but from the start it's constant banter with terms I had no clue as to what the heck she was saying. The author is from Wales, so there are a lot of strange, to me, terminology. I'm sure the average "American" teenager wouldn't understand it either. But once you get used to the weird names and slang it has a really cute story underneath. And a happy ending to boot!

Loved it!,
May 25, 2010
First off I love L.J. Smith's books. I have had these books for quite a while now just waiting on the shelf to read. I read the Night World series & really enjoyed them. I am glad that I waited to read this series until after the television show aired though. Which just boggels my mind. I mean this because aside from the characters & the fact that Stefan & Damon are vampires that's very few of the similarities to the show. There are characters that are in the show that aren't even in the book & vise versa. Also the story is so totally off how can they even call it the Vampire Diaries??? I absolutely love the show, but the story is just too different from the book. I think the show & the books are two totally different entities & can't even be compared to each other. I love both, but I do wish the writers for the television show would have stuck to the story line. It's the biggest difference between a book & a television show, or movie for that matter, that I have ever seen done in my life!
And second, there are people comparing it to Twilight, to those of you who don't realize it this series was written 14 years before Twilight! So it should be Twilight being compared to the Vampire diaries not the other way around.
Overall this is a great book! ;-)

All I can say is wow, bring on the next book!! What an original story. This one had all the things that I like in a story. Love, romance, mystery with some science fiction all wrapped up in a great story. It also had very likeable characters. I thoroughly Loved it!

What a great love story! I really hope there will be another book. What becomes of Dorian's dream/vision?? I know that there has to be more to it. But it ended happily if there isn't. I just have so many questions. It was so good, I want more!

AHHH~Love!,

This was a great book. I loved the story line, it was very sweet. I would NOT recommend it to younger readers or ones who like clean books, due to A LOT of inappropriate content. I do like a little more clean books myself, but I am more open minded then most, so I was not affected by the content. But the story was very well written & it was one that makes you love the characters. They fell so much in love & it ended happy. Which are two of the main things that I look for in a story.

It took my breath away!!,

This was such an awesome book! I can honestly say that I have never had a book leave me in tears. I really was crying, I couldn't believe it! I just want to jump in Kelsey's world and comfort her. The way the characters are written makes you care for them & want to be a part of it all. I hate it when the end is not happy, but I will give an exception this time. Only because I know things will get resolved (at least I hope they do). I was just at a loss at the end. I really can't wait to see what happens next. This really is a story that makes you think about it even when the story is over. I have to know what happens & soon! It is going to drive me crazy until the next one.
